Central European Energy Conference: EU Energy Policy and Energy Security of Central Europe

The 8th annual Central European Energy Conference is part of the Slovakia’s Visegrad Four Presidency Program in 2014-2015. The conference will be held under the auspices of Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Mr. Pavol Pavlis.

The aim of the conference is to evaluate the achievements of the V4 regional energy cooperation and to discuss its further prospects. Furthermore, the conference aims to assess consequences of global energy trends on both energy security and economic competiveness of the EU and, in particular, the region of Central Europe. 

The Covenant of Mayors Office will be organising and chairing the Dinner Session III "Local sustainable energy action plans are key to European energy security".
