Millora de l’eficiència energètica i substitució de l’enllumenat obsolet del nucli urbà de Castellbisbal
Covenant of Mayors Office
63-67 Rue d’Arlon
Against a backdrop of the economic crisis, sustainability is no longer optional, it is mandatory. Cities need to do more with less and environmental, social and economic agendas all need to pull in the same direction.
Advancing the goals of sustainable mobility is about much more than hardware, technology and infrastructure. It’s about mainstreaming mobility in urban policies, changing mindsets and influencing individual behaviour. Nantes, the European Green Capital 2013, has been rewarded for the way that it has achieved this in an integrated way. This makes it a reference point for sustainable mobility. More and more cities are deciding to take up the challenge to become more sustainable, as shown by the growing number of signatories to the Covenant of Mayors.
Nantes Métropole, a very active signatory and European Green Capital 2013, and the Covenant of Mayors have decided to join forces with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) to design this conference.
This conference will be the opportunity to share best practices and explore successful aspects of sustainable mobility and public space planning from across Europe and to reflect on Nantes’ achievements . Signatories of the Covenant of Mayors will benefit from the same advantageous registration fee as UITP members; the registration forms are available in EN and FR.
