  • Caldaie in rete - Thermal heating systems network
    • Description:

      The objective of the project is the remote control and regulation of thermal heating systems within the municipal buildings. The remote management system works with GSM connection. Alarms, temperatures and boiler settings are all accessible directly from the PCs located at the operational headquarters of the plant manager. “Caldaie in rete” is realized in the framework of a larger project that provide the installation of new efficient condensing boilers and the redevelopment of the plants to achieve important benefits: Energetics: optimizes heating plant regulation reducing the consumption of natural gas and electricity. Comfort: improves comfort conditions for users detecting temperatures. Efficiency: avoids spot interventions to have a more efficient service. Diagnosis: allows day-to-day monitoring to plan building interventions to reduce energy consumption.

  • Le Scuole del Sole – Schools of the sun
    • Description:

      The project concerns the realization of photovoltaic systems on the roofs of school buildings through different steps: programming, design, realization, monitoring and dissemination of the results through laboratories on energy efficiency with students and teachers, to raise the culture of "renewable" but also "savings". The “Schools of the Sun” are recognizable by the plaque at the entrance of the building. The systems, operating in on-site mode, provide renewable energy directly to school users, covering in some cases 100% of the energy needs. The plants are constantly monitored by a telecontrol system manage by Energie per la città, which allows to monitor energy and system production data.

  • InSmart approach
    • Description:

      InSmart project (2013-2016), funded by the VII Framework Programme, has the overall objective of identifying the optimum mix of short, medium and long term measures for a sustainable energy future, addressing the efficiency of energy flows across various city sectors with regards to economic, environmental and social criteria. Involving different stakeholders from city planning bodies to private services, the INSMART solution design innovative methods to integrative city planning. The project has provided to Cesena: an GIS map to plan alternative energy futures; a City Planning Platform utilises an Energy System Model to analyze and asses alternative scenarios for the sustainable development of the city energy system up 2020 and 2030; a Sustainable Energy City Plan in order to assist the cities in paving the way towards the implementation of the measures in line with the Cesena’s SEAP.
