      Tepebaşı Municipality signed the EU covenant of Mayors in 2013 and committed itself to reduce carbon emissions in the city. Its objective is to reduce CO2 emissions 20% by 2020. The main objective in the energy efficiency phase of the project is to improve the existing buildings and make them energy efficient. The sub-breaks are the renewal of the building shells by sheathing, the renewal of the windows and joinery systems, the change of the air conditioning systems, the establishment of the Solar Power Plant, and the replacement of the building and environmental lighting with LED.     • Description:

      First electric buses in Turkey were purchased within the scope of REMOURBAN project. E-Bus has 200 kW electric engine and its range can go up to 300 km. In total, 4 electric buses save 212.400 kWh annually and avoid 61.200 kg CO2 emissions. 4 e-buses were deployed and already in use. E-Bus can be charged 6 to 8 hours with e-bus charging device that is placed next to municipality main service building. E-Bus charging station has 380 Volt power and it turns AC power to DC power and charge the e-bus. Also, station has smart meter so that consumption and other information are available. Charging station device has 16,24 and 32 kW charging power option.
