A survey to better understand the challenges in implementing Covenant of Mayors action plans

Over 9,000 Covenant of Mayors signatories have developed a Sustainable Energy (and Climate) Action Plan (SE(C)AP) or are currently preparing one. Many local authorities are facing challenges in the implementation of those plans, the most important one being the lack of resources (human, financial, etc.) to truly bring them to life.

The Compete4SECAP project is seeking to learn more about these difficulties. Is it really just about a lack of resources? Are energy issues not always seen as a burning issue by local authorities? Which other factors are playing a role? In order to find out, Compete4SECAP has created a survey open to all Covenant of Mayors signatories.

The survey is available in 8 languages: English (en), French (fr), Italian (it), German (de), Greek (el), Spanish (es), Croatian (hr), Hungarian (hu), and Latvian (lv).

They recommend cities willing to contribute to have their SE(C)AP open at the same time they answer the questions.

The H2020-funded project Compete4SECAP assists local authorities in Europe in making use of a systematic and continuous approach towards energy use and energy efficiency in their day-to-day business.
